SMT Silver Splice Anti-static Cover Tape Extender GSM11 Series
The GSM11 Series SMT Cover Tape Extenders are engineered to extend cover tape when minimal or no leader is available. This innovative solution prevents component waste and significantly reduces feeder load time. Featuring pre-cut strips that adhere quickly, these extenders accommodate reels of all sizes and are particularly effective for partially cut reels.
Instructions for Use
  • Remove Release Liner: Begin by removing the release liner to expose the adhesive side of the extender, preparing it for attachment to the cover tape.
  • Align with Carrier Tape: Carefully align the adhesive side of the extender with the front edge of the carrier tape. Proper alignment ensures secure attachment and optimal cover tape extension.
  • Apply Adhesive Strip: Firmly press the complete adhesive strip onto the component cover tape. This creates a durable, secure bond that withstands the feeding process.
  • Feed into Feeder: Guide the non-adhesive side of the extender into the feeder, completing the cover tape extension and preparing the reel for SMT assembly operations.
