GSM01 series Double Splice Tapes are specifically designed for joining SMT component carrier tapes. Supplied in pre-cut strips of PET tape, these tapes can be used without splice tools or clips. Each piece features 10 embossed dots on either side to ensure precise alignment with carrier tapes.

Step-by-Step Application Instructions
1. Cutting the Carrier Tapes
Use designated cutting tools (GSMTL20/GSMTL30/GSMTL40) to accurately cut carrier tapes. Precision cutting ensures perfect fit and alignment.
2. Preparing the Splice Tape
Remove the release liner from the splice tape to expose the adhesive side. This step is crucial for ensuring a secure bond between tapes.
3. Aligning the Carrier Tapes
Align the cut carrier tapes (cover tape down) with the provided placement guide for optimal positioning.
4. Joining the Carrier Tapes
Place both ends of the joining carrier tapes onto the first strip of splice tape. Ensure correct alignment to prevent misfeeds.
5. Securing the Splice
Fold over the second strip of splice tape to the underside of the carrier tape and press firmly. This ensures a secure and stable splice connection.
6. Finalizing the Splice
Remove and discard the clear plastic cover and guide to complete the splice. The tapes are now securely joined and ready for assembly process use.
